Financial Literacy Program

The Financial Literacy Program focuses on managing personal finances efficiently, a key life skill required for personal and professional growth. It empowers individuals to secure their future, avoid debt, and adapt to the growing era of e-transactions.

Understanding the need for financial inclusion, Tech Vimal has designed a sustained Financial Literacy Training Program tailored for semi-urban and rural parts of India. A pilot study conducted across various locations revealed a huge demand for financial training, especially in urban slums and rural communities.

Based on these insights, a 10-hour certificate course was developed. The program features rich animated content and video-based learning accessible via smartphones, laptops, and other devices. It is aimed at students aged 14–17 preparing to enter the workforce and adults 18 years and older requiring financial skills.

Models of Delivery

  • Community Engagement Model: Master Trainers are trained to further educate their communities through app-based or video-based modules.
  • Organizational Training: Staff from companies, hospitals, SHGs, and entry-level jobs are trained through app or video modules, with written or online assessments.

Program Highlights

Participants learn the basics of banking, savings, mobile accounts, e-wallets, borrowing wisely, investments, insurance, and financial planning. They also gain practical skills like writing a financial diary, using online banking, and managing e-wallets and online insurance.

The program aims to empower citizens with financial literacy and foster growth and equity across India.
